Kirk Brothers

Dr. W. Kirk Brothers, former President of HCU, spent 23 years in local ministry before transitioning to a more formal teaching role in 2010. He was a professor at Freed-Hardeman University for 8 years before becoming the President of Heritage Christian University in 2018. He has moved back to the classroom where he feels at home and has taught courses on numerous Biblical subjects both here and abroad. He has been married to Cindy for 35 years. They have two daughters, Katie (31) and Hannah (26).

He holds a Ph.D., in Leadership from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, an M.Div. in Theology and a B.A. in Bible and Mass Communication from David Lipscomb University, and a M.A. in New Testament, Freed-Hardeman University. He is an author of several books and continues to use his talents to grow the kingdom of God. We are excited to have Kirk with us at Deeper.

TEACHERS

Justin Bland

Justin lives in Searcy, Arkansas with his wife, Heather, and sons, David, Joseph, and Joshua. Justin teaches exercise science and kinesiology courses at Harding University and received his Ph.D. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Pediatric Exercise Physiology from Michigan State University.

He is passionate about exploring the wondrous design of the human body, and using his research as a platform for theological insight.

C.J. Grimes

C.J. grew up in Ulysses, Kansas, and attended college at the University of Oklahoma. He graduated from OU in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in health and Exercise Science. He and his wife, Kelcey, were married in May 2012 and soon afterward moved to Lakeland, Florida. While living in Lakeland, C.J. attended the Florida School of Preaching and graduated in December 2018. C.J. is currently the youth minister at Mt. Comfort Church of Christ in Fayetteville, AR and holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Amridge University.

C.J. and Kelcey have six children, Avery, Riley, and Carter, Makayla, Jake, and Cole.

Jason Hart

Jason Hart is a 1998 graduate of Freed Hardeman University where he received a BA with majors in Art and Bible. Jason has preached and served as a youth minister in various churches for over 20 years in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Arkansas. Jason is a writer of several books including two resources for Deeper Youth Ministry.

He and his wife, Jennifer, have three children, Daniel, Micah, and Jaycee. The two of them enjoy ministering together as a team and hope that their efforts can guide teenagers to lives of faith that center on Jesus.

Mandy Mobley

Mandy is a wife, mother, Bible teacher, writer, speaker, and founder of Faithful Home Bible Studies.

She and her husband, Shawn, live in Searcy, Arkansas, where he is the youth minister at West Side Church of Christ. She homeschools their two sweet children, who love to laugh and hang out together. Mandy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Level Math & Science Education and a Master of Education in Reading and a Master of Arts in Christian Scriptures.

Mandy is passionate about deeply knowing God through His Word. Her desire is to honor God through teaching women how to know the Word and live the Word every day of their lives.

Shawn Mobley

Shawn Mobley serves as the Youth and Family Minister at West Side Church of Christ in Searcy, Arkansas. He is passionate about helping people understand Scripture more deeply and put their faith into practice. Shawn has been in youth ministry for 8 years, has a Master’s in Youth and Family Ministry from Sunset International Biblical Institute, and is currently working on a Master of Divinity through Heritage Christian University. He and his wife, Mandy, have two teenage children, Elijah and Caroline. He enjoys teaching, spending time with his family, and working in his garden.

Jeremy Myers

Jeremy was born and raised in Florida. He has spent over 20 years in youth ministry and over 30 years in missions. He holds a B.A. in Youth and Family Ministry and a Masters in Teaching from Harding University. Jeremy and his wife, Leah, are raising three girls: Sarah, Laura, and Abby.

He currently serves as the Youth and Family Minister at the Johnson Church of Christ. His day always begins with coffee, but his joy comes from serving God and bringing others to become more like Christ.

Daniel Parrish

For the past five years, Daniel has been serving as the Youth Minister at the Robinson and Center Church of Christ in Conway. Additionally, he uses magic shows and songwriting as a tool to spread the message of Jesus. Daniel has been honored with the Arkansas State Youth Variety Talent Award and was a participant in the Next Gen Preacher Search.

As well as being a Youth Minister, Daniel is a husband, new dad, magician, musician, and lifelong adventurer. He is a kid at heart whose dream is to become the Flash.
